Waylon Jones is a man with some strange genetic disorder, one that is slowly turning him into a crocodile. He used to be a professional wrestler of crocodiles, and uses his immense strength to crush people. Croc was the kingping of crime in Gotham City - he controlled the majority of illegal activities. When Bane arrived in Gotham, Killer Croc was the first person that Bane took out, so that Bane could take over Croc's activities. Croc recently escaped from New Arkham and fled to New Orleans, where Swamp Thing refused to allow Batman to recapture Croc.
