I was very impressed by this site. Before finding it, I knew next to nothing about the Batman titles or the Batman history. But just one read of the website gave me all I needed to know. This site deserves an A+ (If only the X-men sites were this comprehensive) One drawback: I'm pretty sure there are other villians there you haven't listed (then again, I'm going by my memory of the 60's T.V. show, which probably doesn't count... :) ). At any rate, a job well done (Where do you find the time?). Do you plan to keep this site updated with each batman (Detective/Shadow/Legends) release? Does that take a lot of time? Great site! I whole heartedly agree with Wagner in that Dark Knight Returns is the quintessential Batman as far as Im concerned. If Batman and his enemies were real this is how it would be.
However, I always have a helluva time convincing non-Batfans that Batman could actually defeat Superman in combat as he does in the climax. I try to explain how intelligent Bruce Wayne
is and how he could find a way. To me Batman/Bruce is a combination of Einstein, James Bond, Sherlock Holmes, and Bruce Lee rolled into one.
Take away Superman's superpowers,(make him mortal like Batman) and Batman would mop the floor with him!
Does any else out there share my opinion?

I absolutely loved the page!! Great layout and alot of accessible info. Good job on the setup, I comend you. The only thing I'd like to say is that for those of you who think you know Batman and havent read Frank Miller's " Dark Knight Returns", then your body of Batman knowledge is missing its most vital organ next to "Year One". DKR is my all time favorite...period. I read it several times throughout the year and each time is like the first. If you love Batman's darker, harder edged side, stop what youre doing and buy this book and read it today.

I've been reading Batman and drawing him since I was about twelve or thirteen. I'm now 20 and things haven't changed. The Dark Knight does and always will intrigue me. There's just something about that darkness mixed w/heroic deeds that I think is really cool. Well I must be going. Have a good one!

The Dark Knight has been busy. I started collecting in 1988 when Jason Todd was killed by our favorite clown prince of crime.
Batman is an integral part of american myth, and I am currently writing a reserch paper comparing the Batman and Hamlet, you know, that Shakespeare dude.
Hope to see more added to this site.
Oh yeah, this is the loss of my virginity to ignorance of the web.
One question, why do they say only Bucky stays dead, when Jason has done nothing but be eaten by maggots for the past seven years?

The new legends of the Dark Knight Gallery looks awesome. I noticed that Nightwing was not in it as much as others. Good to see that he has made his peace with Bruce. For the Bat-fans, I have written a paper for a popular culture graduate class on Batman and I have interviewed Jordan B. Gorfinkle. The paper earned an A and Gorf read it and enjoyed it. Since then, I have been bitten by the bat and have become an avid collector. This page is great and keeps me entertained. Nice job, from one Bat-fan to another.

"Batman" was my first spoken word. I like the idea of monthly comics review-- I have been reading the batbooks since 1989, and I think the Batman comics are in peak form-- perhaps comparable to the Denny O'Neil/ Neal Adams days of the 70's. I'll be watching the site!

The Dark Knight is the most appealing comic-book character
of all time. He is the representation of that special
"dark-side" that may be despised by society, but that
inspires the most creative minds.

When I was three, maybe four, my mother bought me a comic book in which Batman stopped the Penguin from creating dinosaurs and ransacking Gotham. Alas, I haven't seen that issue in years, but I've been hooked since. Pretty accurate! I am a big (but not rabid...) Bat-Fan, for most of the same reasons you've put this site together for. I must confess, however, the whole Knightfall/Knightsend storyline drove me off. I can't stand JP Valley/Azrael. Iwould guess that the election will be right around the real world Nov. 7th elections, and I predict Marion Grange as the winner, and her first act as mayor will be to offer Jim Gordon back the Commissioner's job...which I dearly hope he takes! Oh yeah- I think Montoya's first name only has two 'e's, not three...but I could be wrong. Thanx for a great site!
